Leeds United returned to the top of the league in style, with Marcelo Bielsa’s side emphatically beating promotion rivals West Brom 4-0 last night.
Once again, Pablo Hernandez was pivotal for the Whites after he opened the scoring with a fantastic strike after just 16 seconds.
The classy Spaniard was left with too much space just outside the box and he fired a great effort into the top corner to send Elland Road wild.
From there, Leeds didn’t look back, with Marcelo Bielsa’s side dominating and the 33-year-old was key to that. He kept the ball well and played some excellent long passes that created chances for his teammates.
Even though his performance levels have remained pretty consistent, that was Hernandez’ first goal since the win over Sheffield United on 1 December.
And, it’s fair to say the fans were glad to see him back among the goals and they were once again delighted with his contribution.
